As the evening goes on I turn to more brutalized versions of "THE DRINK" - now I'm down to tequila, rose's lime and mintu :-P But I'm getting better at the Hard Shake :) and to the fourth season of Lost :D
It've cleared up a bit now, so I added the ice from the shaker. While it has lost a bit of the initial smoothness (caused by the miniscule bubbles) it's still quite a treat.
This is a surprisingly pleasant concoction I made up to test the fabled "Japanese Hard Shake" or at least my feeble imitation of it. I got the miniscule airbubbles right it seems. It is.. wait for it...
Mintu (a mint spirit of about 60%)
Tequila (very bad tequila)
Gin
Rose's Lime
It is actually so good that I might make it another time, even when in possesion of good ingredients.
My girlfriend has gone away for the weekend. So I'm probably going to neglect eating and not getting any sleep :-/
Besides that I'm reading up on japanese bartending techniques. These guys do some pretty nifty stuff. Almost as ritualized as the tea cermony.

I didn't get a good photo from the bus, but it says "1984 is still here". A symptom of the zeitgeist I suppose.
