A IS FOR..... ART!!

As you've probably well guessed by now Art is important to me. Hardly a day goes by where I don't attempt something artistic. Whether it's painting, drawing, collage, photography or whatever, I feel I NEED to create something pretty! Art allows me to give voice to the inner feelings and ideas I would normally struggle to express, for me it is a way to communicate to others and hopefully make a connection or evoke a response of some kind.

It may sound weird but I have an almost constant urge to make things, and if I don't, I get a horrible gut feeling and I feel depressed....it's my outlet and refuge in this stressful and convoluted world.

Art, in terms of visual representation, was one of the very first attempts at non verbal communication (think cave paintings) and I consider it humbling and inspiring that we still find it an important part of society today (well...some of us :P) !
