Last glimpse of Rome before a day of airports, Valium, delays, gate changes, comas before finally getting back to san Antonio for a quick sleep...ciao Italia
Hello America
Went to the Vatican, saw the Sistine chapel, ran through the rain to the trevi fountain to make my wishes and ended with the colosseum. Rome has a lot of history but we were ready to leave. We all missed florence. Last day with an early call...
Went to Pompeii which was a mixture of beauty and sadness. Traveled back to Rome to perform our last concert in st Paul's within the walls. Tears were shed but a fabulous concert. More rain fell.
Visited Siena on the way to Rome....rude ass people but gorg city. Finally arrived in Rome for our beautiful hotel ready for our last leg of the trip. Fab lasagna. Can't stop eating and thinking about food.
Free day in florence. Bought a fabulous jacket and climbed the almost 500 steps of the duomo for this most fantastic view. I never wanted to leave. Florence/ Firenze will always be in my heart. As will all my friends I made on this trip.
Explored Florence. Saw David, the duomo and giant church. The buildings are gorgeous and giant markets screaming for shopping! Tried my first gelato and it was amazing. Ice cream will never taste the same....
Visited Pisa! Pretty day around time and Florence becoming my absolute favorite :) performance in an outdoor venue in which we beast the Iowa band. We were completely together and it was fabulous.
