Why hello world of Dailybooth! Long time no see 'cause I's lazy.
This is going to be quite a long booth I fear and it's only going to be about yesterday. Well *deep breath* here we go.
Yesterday morning I had a Dyslexia pre-assessment, as I failed 4 of the 8 modules in my first year at Uni and some of my Tutors thought I might have some sort of learning disabilities, and what resulted of the 2 hour pre- assessment was that I have difficulties with fine motor control (pen grip/control, untidy handwriting, slowness of writing), perceptual difficulties (overly sensitive to light and some noise), attention and concentration difficulties and restlessness. And coupled with some additional responses I show indicators of Dyspraxia which is concerned with learning, thought and memory but includes difficulties with fine motor skills and my restlessness and other factors could be attributes of ADHD.
But I was told that this pre-assessment on its own is not enough to diagnose me with Dyspraxia. Although the fact that I forgot, for a short time when I got home, what Dyspraxia was concerned with only about 10 minutes after I was explained what it was seems like it's quite possible.
And also it seems I have Meares Irlen Syndrome (Yeah, I'm not sure how to pronounce it either) which is visual-perception stress and I find it easier to read with the green reading ruler (Which is what I'm holding in the picture).
(I'll finish soon don't worry)
If any of you who know me has Googled 'Dyspraxia symptoms' I don't have any gross motor control problems because I've been cycling for years and have done martial arts which stopped me from having bad balance, and playing guitar has stopped the bad sense of rhythm and hand-eye co-ordination.
I do use either hand for certain things but I don't think that really supports Dyspraxia much as I'm sure there are more ambidextrous people out there.
I do stumble over words sometimes when I talk.
Any eye problems are probably counter-balanced with the fact I'm really short-sighted.
I seem to be okay with most of the other perceptions.
Most, if not all, of the thought and memory problems apply to me.
Some of the emotional and behavioral attributes seem to fit too.
Either that or it's one big coincidence and this was a waste of time and I'm just shit at doing essays and assignments.
Anyway, I think I shall leave it there. Ciao!10 commentsJuly 19th, 2011

Hello there, FailyBooth!
I've not boothed in about 7 weeks, mainly due to my laziness but partially because every time I select 'Snap a Pic' and the shockwave-flash-player-thing crashes (I thought I'd know the name by now, seeing as it's popped up a few hundred times).
I went shopping about 2 hours ago with @Hazelaine to get stuff for my Mum's birthday, which is tomorrow, and as my hair looked rather horrible from being slept on (even though I didn't sleep for that long last night..) I decided to sport this look for the day.
I'm quite surprised at how much just putting this hat on stops people from looking at me, I didn't think my hair was the only feature of mine to stand out, but in saying that I don't know what else could've been a feature of mine that would stand out... besides the 3 spots on the left of my face that are in a line. How joyous.
Anywho, that's it for now, as I've not done anything else today.
I shall leave you with this - http://bit.ly/inyp6E.0 commentsJune 8th, 2011

Today is the birthday of @Hazelaine.
And this is the present I got her, the Weighted Companion Cube from Portal... in plush form.
My Mother and I made a box for the cube ourselves out of a cardboard box we had lying around the house. I put portals and Domo on it so wouldn't look so plain. We made sure the box wasn't cube shaped so @Hazelaine couldn't guess what it was and we also fashioned the box to open up as soon as the ribbons were untied.
I thought these were nice touches.
PS. I apologise for how I look in this picture.8 commentsApril 21st, 2011

This picture is from one of the nights that me and my flat-mates had in our flat within the first couple of weeks of Uni.
I was persuaded to fetch my Banjo and play a tune (I only know one tune - Duelling Banjos).
The reason why I had the Stella box on my head was entirely because of my flat-mate Ryan, I believe. (Who also took this picture)
Also, I was rather drunk, which is an excuse for many daft things like playing a Banjo whilst donning a beer crate.
I believe this is the 4th instrument of mine that I've shown now..
It'll probably be the Ovation next.0 commentsApril 15th, 2011

I have been told by @Hazelaine to booth more (Probably because I've not boothed since the 15th of February.
So here's a booth, of me, taken by @Hazelaine, in Bute Park. (I wear that shirt quite a lot...)2 commentsApril 12th, 2011

Not long ago I popped into Sainsbury's to have a look to see if Southern Comfort was on offer - It wasn't..
But a litre bottle of Grant's whiskey was - £14.49.
Also got a pizza. So tonight's plan is to drink and eat pizza... I'm not a student, I swear *looks around the room*...
Cheers world of Dailybooth. I am now going to enjoy my whiskey in a Jack Daniel's tumbler.0 commentsFebruary 15th, 2011

I just remembered that I own Aviator sunglasses and a top hat, so I thought I'd do this Slash-look-a-like picture, but with my Fender Telecaster and not a... erm... whatever Slash uses..
People of DailyBooth (Or Facebook or Twitter if you're looking), should I dress like this when I perform my next Ensemble Performance? I'm quite tempted as I got a round of applause for my hair during my last performance, so this should have a good reaction too.
But then again - I'm not that fond of Slash, to be honest..
Also, It appears to be Valentine's day. So I'm going to be spending the rest of the day with @Hazelaine, as she had Uni from 9-4/5 (It's either 4 or 5) today, so I haven't seen her yet. We're going to see Paul, booked the tickets yesterday, we're hoping to go to Nando's afterwards - We tried to book yesterday, over the phone, and we were told something along the lines of "We're not taking bookings for Monday, we should have tables available so just turn up."... I'm just hoping that Valentine's people don't all go to Nando's tonight..
Hokai then, I should get on with some more work before @Hazelaine gets back.
Tally-ho! (Don't really know why I said that..)2 commentsFebruary 14th, 2011

Just having a casual play on my 8-string today (Agile Interceptor 830 RN Nat Satin) whilst I wait for @Hazelaine to pop over for a bit until she goes back home to Monmouth for the evening.
Hopefully, I'll actually get my act together, and start work tonight as I have a 10 minute presentation next Tuesday and I also need to sort out which song I want to make my own arrangement of as soon as possible, as I think we only have about 7 practices left until we have to perform the songs and my group have sorted 2 maybe 3 songs.. and we need 5.. Hmm...0 commentsFebruary 8th, 2011

Hallo!
It's been a while since I last boothed...
I thought now would be a good photo opportunity to show my typical night if I'm not doing work - Crack open a beer and one of my guitars.
Tonight, I'm in a Metal mood: 7-string or 8-string (Tonight - 7-string, which is an Agile Interceptor 727 Pro EB, as I fancied playing this song http://bit.ly/lUjYx (By the way, for those who don't know, the singer is a woman...))
Once I'm done having a play on ze G-tar I'm heading over to Hazel's flat to keep drinking with her flatmate Rich and whoever else wants to join. It's going to be a good night!
Catch ya later boothers. Peace!2 commentsFebruary 6th, 2011
