I forgot to wear green today, so @ConcreteAndGrace lent me her green chopsticks she conveniently had in her purse! :)

    30 Days of Thanks - Day 16!

Today, I am thankful for change... Sometimes I don't think I'm thankful for it, but when all is said and done, I am.

I once heard someone say, "The only way you can move a piano to the opposite side of a church's stage is by one inch each Sunday."

Truth is, people don't like change.. Yet, the only thing that's constant is change. Today I am thankful for it because well, it's happening yet again. But I've come to find that change is one of those things where you don't quite get it while it's happening, and usually we try to fight it, but in the end we're glad it happened. Let's take Facebook for example.. Some months ago they made some pretty drastic changes to the Facebook layout. And oh MY how that brought on the torches and pitchforks! People were creating groups, pages, ranting and raving on their walls, etc.. etc.. about how they hated the changes and they wanted their "old Facebooks" back.....

Today, I bet those people don't even remember what Facebook looked like back then and if there were any other changes they would want THIS Facebook back! lol I think it's really not about likes and dislikes, but more about comfortability. Humans are creatures of comfort, and if we're not comfortable... You'll know it!

One thing I've learned in my short time here on earth, is that when we REALLY learn trust for God... Change is welcomed. Anytime I start to see change and ESPECIALLY when I get a little uncomfortable with it, I look at this scripture and smile:

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, who have been called according to His purpose."

So, put away your torches and pitchforks, and look in the face of change and smile because when you're in God, in the end it all works out for our good. Always.

    30 Days of Thanks - Day 10!

Today, I am thankful for laughter! :D

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love to laugh! Ty and I were driving in the car today and we started laughing about something and for some reason I was so tickled about it I could not stop laughing, I was laughing SO hard that there were tears rolling down my cheeks and my abs hurt sooooo bad. I just started to think about how much better life is when you can laugh through it.

When I was praying for the perfect husband for me, one of the number one top things on my list (after loving God with all his heart) was someone with an amazing sense of humor who I could laugh with every day. And anyone who knows Ty knows that each day comes with lots of laughs! :)

I love the fact that if I'm having a bad day, or just feeling a little off.. I can always laugh! There's lots of things we can control in life by the decisions we make, but once in a while comes along a situation that we may not be able to control.. Once all is said and done, it feels so great to look back and know that we laughed our way through it. It is so much better knowing you went through it with joy instead of getting all out of whack and acting like a grouchy pants'. Right?!

So if you haven't laughed in a while, or you're having a bad day, or whatever the case is... Go ahead... LOL!

Laughter is contageous.. so go on and catch some!

‎30 Days of Thanks - Day 8!.. Yeah I've been posting them all to FB, but here's one for the DB!

Today I'm thankful for Photography!!! :) It's always been a passion of mine, one that I've gotten pretty serious about over the last 2 years. I love being able to capture one, God-created, moment in time.. And it lasts forever! In 2008, I took the plunge and opened up my very own business (another dream accomplished.. oh YES!!) Danielle Jane Photography, FTW!! :)

I've learned so much and I've met so many interesting people. I plan on starting a couple of exciting things in the next year to stretch my photography knowledge.. That blank page on my website has been waiting too long!! ;)

So now, enough writing... I've been saving up for an amazing lens, and I FINALLY have enough as of tonight! So I'm off to go and buy a new lens for myself! :) So excited!

Day 3 - I am thankful today for my family.. I've found out in my adult life that there are 2 things you can't choose. One is your neighbors (boy was that a big realization!) and second is your family. Fortunately, I was up front somewhere in line when they were handing out good families (and to top it all off, they're quite the good-looking bunch if I do say so myself!) ;) Sure they aren't perfect, but they are all MINE and I fit right there in the middle perfectly!

On the left side of this picture, you can see my beautiful family who has been with me through my entire life.. through the great and wonderful moments and the well.. er.. not so great ones (BIG thanks to Mom, Dad and Terri for sticking through those tough teenage years! ;P)... My parents have always believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself.. They always encouraged me to be the best person I could be, and I am so thankful to have them in my life! I love my beautiful sisters so very much! They are my little sisters, but there's nothing little about them.. They are gifted and talented in so many ways and have big purposes and destinies ahead of them!

Then on the right side I have my amazing family-in-law... But honestly "in-laws" are such inadequate/cold words to describe such an incredible group of people who are so close to my heart! You always hear horror stories about "in-laws" and well, just think everything opposite, and that's what I have been SO blessed with in Royce, Gabby, Debbie(Mom) and Errol(Dad). :) My parents-in-law are some of the strongest people I know.. Nothing that has been thrown their way has ever made them waver or lose one ounce of faith in God. They are the most faith-filled couple I know, I look up to them in every way and am so blessed to call them not only Mom and Dad, but also my best friends. :) And right there with them are Royce and Gabby, I can't wait to be serving in ministry with them one day.. we are going to make an awesome team! They are one in a million!

And then there's my husband.. See yesterday's post to see how very thankful I am for him! :)

If I don't tell you all enough, I am SO thankful for you and I love and adore each and every one of you! I know how much God truly loves me when I look at each amazing person He has placed in my family. :)
