Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This is my outfit for the day. Green shirt, an awesome necklace (I actually caught it lighting up on the first try!) and green fuzzy socks. The cup isn't something I'm carrying around all day. But, I did drink out of it last night, so I feel like that counts.

The 1st graders were stressful today. They weren't listening very well. But! They were ALL in green. It was so funny to look around the room and see green shirts, green socks, green bow ties, green hats, and green hair ribbons. Way to participate 1st graders!

I'm actually excited for my 11:00 class today. Usually I dread going and listening to him drone on and one. But today, we're watch Steve Martin's Roxane, based off of Cyrano de Bergurac. Yay for movie day! I feel like a little kid again.

Today, I'm being a judge/critiquer for a little kid writing contest. Basically, I just read a bunch of stories and poems and grade them. I'm actually very excited to read the creativity of elementary school kids. Should be a good afternoon.

Show me your green!

@LivingiNuhMiistery I know! Isn't green wonderful? Haha. I just love holidays like this. To me, it's an excuse to dress tacky and get away with it.

My afternoon went well. I was actually assigned to read jr. high work and all of the stories were drpressing and/or morbid. I don't miss being a preteen at all.

woah it took me forever to realize you posted today! I almost missed it.
in my psych class we talk about creativity in children and a lot of the time creativity is really sparse when you're around 7 because you're peer pressured into being like the other kids around you and not think outside the box. so, I hope you get some really good writings!

@LindsayRobson Hmm...that's weird. I've never heard of children, especially the ones as young as 7 not wanting to be creative. Most students are super excited to share a creative story or a drawing that they did with the class. I ended up reading writings from 7th and 8th graders actually. They were all super depressing/morbid. I don't miss being that age at all.

I loved dressing up for the different holidays when I was little. My mom got me all the different themed socks, necklaces, hair bows, etc. It was so fun. ;D I still love wearing the stuff too. It's just too nifty not to stop wearing.

@rainbowfish I am in no way a beer connoisseur, but I can definitely taste the difference between dark beer and light beer. I will stick to my light beer and be a crazy American, haha.
