So I went shopping with my momma today and bought waaay too much stuff. But I really needed that retail therapy. I had a rough week. Last weekend my sister and I had our nails done professionally. We had these funny Asian guys who were totally working for their tip. It was a fun experience but I don't think I'll be doing it too often because 1) it ruins the hell out of your nails and 2) it's friggin' expensive. Now I'm doing the usual a.k.a. prowling around the internet.

It's hard to feel fierce without any makeup on. So I used a prop (that delish grilled cheese sammich). I posted something similar to this on my facebook and I thought I'd do the same on here. I'm trying to appreciate the physical qualities I was born with and resist the urge to make myself look better by using makeup. I've had acne since the 5th grade and I think that is really what caused me to be so drawn the makeup. I've worn makeup since I can remember and while I love creating new looks to try out I abhor the fact that I feel ugly when I'm not wearing any. It's a shallow insecurity (no duh) but I know I'm not the only person who deals with it. I challenged myself to be honest about my looks. Can you do the same?

So this is what I got my sister for her birthday. When she opened the box she paused and then:

"Holy sh*t. Is this?"
"Yup."
"I've always wanted one of these!"
"I know."

It's a pretty legit replica of Hermione's and that sucker wasn't cheap. So she better friggin' appreciate it. ^_^

Feelin' like a dapper s.o.b.

Every time I adjust my glasses I feel like people judge me like, "Oh look at HER. She thinks she's smart because she wears glasses." Uh, no. I wear glasses because I'm BLIND. And I'm adjusting them because my face is crooked, thus causing my glasses to be crooked. Ergo, vis a vis, shut up. Thanks.

I looove this gum! Only problem is that each piece keeps its flavor for like a minute so I end up chewing the whole pack in half an hour.

Had the day off from work so I played in my makeup.

Dyed Easter eggs with Fiona.

And now I'm snacking on strawberries.

Side note: Overly protective/possessive girlfriends/boyfriends freak me out. Calm yo sh*t.
