    Hai guys. Long time no see, I know. We've really got to make sure we catch up more often. Let's get coffee some time, kay?
    In other news, I've finished school entirely for the year, and in a week or two I'll start panicking about the daunting prospect of year 12. But for now I'm just going to sit in my room and read. You know how I know I'm cool? My ideal day is one spent lying in bed listening to music and reading existentialism with a cat curled up next to me. Did I mention how brilliant Steppenwolf is? Because it is. Fucking amazing (god, I'm a wanker).

    So I had a formal the other day. It was fun, for all it's awful music.
    What else has happened recently? Life has been eventful and confusing, but mostly in a good way.

    What a fucking bizarre surreal weekend.
    Today was fun and normal though. Brunswick street with Bea. Sat in The Black Cat. Went to the super cool book store and realised that its sections are: Politics/philosophy/history, Psychadelic literature (yes, it means drugs), Music, and Paganism.
    Bought a hard copy of my favourite Bright Eyes album (pictured, Digital Ash. It's genius, I swear), and had conversations with a random nice chap we met at the tram stop. Good times!

    What's that in your hand, Susannah, you may ask?
    Oh, nothing, nothing, just a letter saying that I'm Music Captain next year.
    I'm a little bit pleased with myself, especially seeing as the interview was the same day as my lit exam, and the only prep I did was glancing at the questions on the train. I'm not really sure what captaincy involves. I think I make a few speeches and organise some stuff.
    In other news, I've got two (unimportant year 11 exams) until freedom. I plan on doing little other than playing guitar, reading, and writing the project @dontpanic and I are working on. Good times will be had by all!

    Pages and page as and pages of "Henrik Ibsen's Hedda Gabler examines the concept of the embowered woman" and "the theories of Danish existentialist Kierkegaard" and "the poem's multi-layered conceit, in which Harwood's hyperbole transforms the speaker's boat into" etc. etc. etc.
    I have been completely incapable of thinking about anything other than my lit exam. Seriously. Even when I'm doing something else, in the back of my mind is "you should be studying or you're going to fail go back to studying right now". 24 hours time and I'll only have to worry about silly insignificant year 11 exams.
    PS. Yes, I am aware of how horrible my handwriting is.

    Good lord, I'm awkward.
    And this, my friends, is why I love op shops.
    $10! I've been lusting after this dress for so long (but it usually costs around $50) and then, bam! $10 at the local Salvos.

    Sorry. Moving right along from that blatant display of vanity.

    Do you ever have days where you can't be bothered taking serious photos or finding anything interesting to hold so you just cover your face in hair?

    Today was one of the slackest school days of my life.
    Media: No teacher! Let's watch the year 12 films!
    English: "Ms Gray we need the whole double to work on our oral presentations!"
    Susannah has already finished said oral presentation, and spends 100 minutes talking to the teacher about music. Ms Gray's a bit of a bamf. She's like a chilled out Clementine.
    History: Teacher lectures us. For a whole period. Some one throws a stink bomb in the door.
    Lunch: Laugh at year 12, at one point getting cornered by three boys in morph suits and ending up SCARRED FOR LIFE. Or just amused and bewildered.
    Literature: There is no Literature. Home time, weeeee!

    Note - it was year 12 muck up day, hence the laughter and the lack of lit.

    This evening I had to go to school and sing in the "spooktacular"/spring gala/school concert type thing.
    The choir is shit. The seats are uncomfortable. The people introducing items, other than a few exceptions, sound like they're in kindergarten learn-to-read classes.

    On the bright side, I got to dress up as a witch.
