In 1981, Jernigan was sentenced to death for stabbing and shooting 75-year-old Edward Hale, who discovered him stealing a microwave oven. Jernigan spent 12 years in prison before his final plea for clemency was denied. His cadaver was sectioned and photographed for the Visible Human Project at the University of Colorado's Health Sciences Center.
I found this concept art design today and thought it was the COOLEST thing, so of course I had to try it.

We read my now most favorite poem in english today.
Tis by John Donne:

I got to explain what it means in class, mainly because I volunteered.
It's pretty self-explanatory.
Many references to being refined; made new.
It uses the metaphor of being overthrown,
"usurp'd town" is an overthrown town. Sin and evil overthrow him.
"viceroy" represents someone of power, so though he has the Lord inside him as an authority, which he "should defend" he always falls.
For we are, broken beings.
Though he loves God, he is "betrothed" to evil.
"betrothed" as Jordan pointed out in class, is something involuntary.
We are connected to evil even before we come into the world.
Then the whole paradox of being set free only by being imprisoned by the Lord, by being virtuous only if the Lord takes him completely.
It is both a confession, a cry and a praise.
And it's really, really my favorite.
