I'm making a brash choice.
To pack up and leave where I've been my entire life.
Move over 200 miles away.
And have a chance at a new start.
A chance at happiness.
My one rule has always been that you should do what makes you happy,
Everything else falls behind this in importance.
It may not be the more selfless rule to live by,
But what is life if you are not happy?
I can't wait, really.
I have to get a job.
And apply to a new college,
One where it won't be as easy.
None of this is going to be easy, actually.
It's going to be hard as hell.
But I have a reason to try now.
It's been hard as hell the last few months anyways,
Now it'll just be hard as hell away from the people that I don't want to be around.
Even if that means leaving the people I love.
I'll have someone I love when I get there, though.
Someone I Love.
And what happens if things go wrong?
What happens if things fall apart?
Then I will have taken a risk,
And I will not apologize for taking that risk,
And I will never regret making that decision.
Life is full of taking risks.
The people that take the small risks
Reap small rewards.
The people that take large risks
Reap large rewards.
I'm not going to get out of this life alive,
Why the hell shouldn't I at least enjoy the ride?
